Why do I have a problem with it?
Because the music is subconsciously influencing men into believing that their lives are not complete or happy or worth living if they don't have a woman. It's ridiculous.
Well, if a guy is willing to die for a woman that he barely knows, then he is also willing to try and buy her love. He will buy her expensive cars, homes, jewelry, and etc. to try and win her heart. You can't buy love. This is the WRONG message. In fact, that is borderline prostitution. Because, essentially, you are paying for expensive things so that you can eventually get in her pants.
These songs influence men to chase women. That women are the ultimate goal in life. That you have to chase women, kiss their ass, let them walk over you, because they are just princesses that deserve everything.
That's not so at all. Many women are absolutely worthless. I don't hate women, and I don't feel sorry for get used. But the incessant production of music with lyrics like these is just pointless. It gets repetitive and loses appeal to any man with an ounce of self-respect. I can stand a couple songs, but usually can't listen to a whole CD without feeling like "what the...?"
You know? It's stupid. Why not sing about the beauty of life? About life lessons, about being happy just because you feel like it, about nature, about money, about history, past events, about something else!

Areh...velee nah hamash...
It's almost like Iranian male singers are all emo. Enjoy the moment, life is too short. There are plenty of American songs that are not like this. I could list some. I know in Iranian singers, there are ones that are not like this either and I like their music...for example, Moein, Dariush, Mohsen Chavoshi, and maybe one or two others. I'm not hating on all of them.
That's my rant. I was just wondering if anyone else felt the same.
Merci for reading.
