سپاهان با پيروزي برابر الشباب امارات صدرنشين شد

خبرگزاري فارس: تيم فوتبال سپاهان با نتيجه 2 بر صفر برابر الشباب امارات به پيروزي رسيد.

به گزارش خبرگزاري فارس، اين ديدار در چارچوب ليگ قهرمانان آسيا از ساعت 15 در ورزشگاه فولاد شهر اصفهان و در حضور حدود 8 هزار تماشاگر برگزار شد و در پايان سپاهان با 2 گل الشباب امارات را شكست داد.
مهدي جعفر پور در دقيقه 2 و آرماندو در دقيقه 90+3 براي سپاهان گلزني كردند.
مالك عبدالبشير داور سنگاپوري به جلال اكبري از سپاهان و عيسي محمد از سپاهان كارت زرد نشان داد.

Sepahan 2-0 Al Shabab: Change of tactics worked

ISFAHAN: Sepahan coach Farhad Kazemi feels there is still plenty of room for improvement despite seeing his side defeat Al Shabab 2-0 in their Group D clash of the AFC Champions League on Wednesday.

The Iranians, who were runners-up in the tournament in 2007, scored at either end of the match through Mehdi Jafarpoursorkhi in the second minute and Armando De Sa in second half injury time.

"Even though we won today, we still made mistakes which we need to iron out for future matches," said Kazemi.

"We scored early on in the first half but the players didn't play well for the rest of the half and I'm unhappy with their performance."

Despite a disappointing first half Sepahan improved as the game wore on and created chance to further increase their lead.

They came closest to scoring another in the 53rd minute when Mohsen Bengar’s close-range shot from inside the area rattled the crossbar.

And Kazemi attributed the improved second-half display to a change of tactics.

"In the last half an hour we saw the real Sepahan because we changed our tactics," he added.

Sepahan will also face Bunyodkor of Uzbekistan and Al Ittifaq of Saudi Arabia in their group and Kazemi believes they will pose an even greater challenge for his players.

“Bunyodkor and Al Ittifaq are our main rivals (in the group) but naturally all the teams in the ACL are strong. For example, Al Shabab today played above themselves."

But that was cold comfort to the Al Shabab coach Antonio Carlos.

The UAE side struggled to create chances throughout with one of their most notable efforts not arriving until the 85th minute when substitute striker Salem Saad hit the ball directly at the Sepahan goalkeeper.

"We were unlucky that we conceded so early and late but today's result hasn't clarified anything,” said Carlos.

"Nothing's over yet and we have five more games to play and we'll try to do our best.

"We didn't see a very good game today and neither side played well. Their supporters affected us but we still should have played better."
