I understand what you are saying, but I still think it is an immoral thing (sigheh). Sigheh isn't practiced in western countries - its practiced in Iran, where women are clearly disadvantaged. Also women work with their emotions and inutions, men can be quite cold and ruthless. Even if a woman participates in a sigheh, in the end, she is the one who pays the price. she pays through emotional problems, guilt, feelings of beeaberooi, feelings of shame . Why even participate in sigheh if you love each other - why not just get married. Or if marriage isn't for you then live together - But you see this can happen in Western Cultures, not in Iran where god forbid if two people live togther they get into all sorts of legal troubles. So our dear islamic regime has decided that in order to do the same living together and having sex, they perform sigheh and BANG you are saved from doing something wrong. Who gives the Mullah the right to say what is right or wrong and that sigheh absolves you from living together and having sex before marriage. Is the MUllah MOhammad or GOd? What right does he have to pur forward such laws. And show me how a God, kind and just would allow such atrocities in any religion?
