Yeah i agree, Iranian pop music has always been a cheap imitation of western pop. Just to add to it they've now started imitating rap as well, which is even more cheezy and cheap.
Even in the sonnati sector - while the artistic material is top-notch - the technical aspect of some songs i.e. recording, engineering, etc. is just low.
