Roma Lay Eyes On Andriy Shevchenko, Julio Cruz & Klaas Jan Huntelaar - Report
The capital club are eyeing big target men for their front line this summer, according to reports in Italy...
Roma have added Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Andriy Shevchenko and Julio Cruz to their summer hit list as Luciano Spalletti continues to search for a striker, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
All three hitmen are reportedly set to leave Real Madrid, Chelsea and Inter respectively this summer.
The report suggests Shevchenko is on top of the list. The Ukrainian returned to Chelsea, following his loan spell at Milan, but he is being tipped to leave Stamford Bridge following former Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti's arrival there. The striker has hinted at his penchant to join Roma, and reports have suggest he is willing to take a pay cut to join the Trigoria-based side.
The alternatives would be Cruz and Huntelaar.
The Argentinean hitman is looking for another club, as his deal with Inter expires on Tuesday. He has been linked with Panathinaikos, but the move collapsed and the Greek side signed Djibril Cisse instead. Cruz is a free agent and Roma would be reportedly able to accomodate his €2.5million salary demands.
Last, but not least, on the list is Huntelaar.
The Real Madrid man is set for an exit from the Bernabeu this summer, following Florentino Perez's return to the helm. The Giallorossi have a good relationship with the Spanish giants, and there have been claims that they are looking at a loan deal option.
However, the Merengues seem like they want to cash in on their man rather than send him on loan.
