![]() Real Madrid Stand To Make €124m Off Kaka & Cristiano Ronaldo - Report A report has backed up Florentino’s bold claims that the Blancos will hit it big if they buy big… While experts in England rage on about how Cristiano Ronaldo would eventually cost Real Madrid more than just the €94 million (₤80m) in transfer fees, over in Spain, the marketing gurus are busy calculating how much the Spanish superpowers will profit from his arrival, if he does agree to make the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu. Financial newspaper, Cinco Dias, believes that the signing of CR7 will prove to be a "sound business operation", as the "combination of a great footballer and Real Madrid is highly profitable, as proven by the transfer of David Beckham, which increased the club’s merchandising sales by 137%", the club official website elaborated. "The system works," says marketing expert, Gerard Costa, who is certain that Los Blancos "would be wise to sign Ronaldo". "The sum of the social impact Real Madrid have and the amount the one footballer generates make the signing very affordable. Despite the high transfer fee, the club would instantly have greater income from publicity, marketing and broadcasting rights," he explained further. Just like during the previous Galacticos empire, the presence of other star players in the team, such as Raul and Iker Casillas, will also be equally important. A Weber Shandwick Sport report, which had recently claimed that Kaka alone is worth €70 million a year in revenue, has now revised their figures to include Ronaldo, and they believe the duo could generate as much as €124 million in merchandising and shirt sales, just under €40 million less than their combined transfer fee.

![]() Real Madrid And Valencia Stall Negotiations For David Villa - Report Los Blancos may have a seemingly endless pile of money, but they will not be held to ransom over 'El Guaje'... Real Madrid looked all set to sign David Villa, but negotiations have hit a standstill. According to AS, Florentino Perez is struggling to agree a deal with Manuel Llorente, the new Valencia president. Llorente is demanding €30 million plus Alvaro Negredo, an estimated total cost of around €48m. Perez, however, does not intend to offer any more than €25m plus Negredo. Indeed, the Madrid supremo is running out of patience with Llorente, who has increased his asking price on more than one occasion during negotiations. Therefore, Perez is soon to set a deadline on the deal, after which, if no agreement has been reached, he will abort the transfer. In this eventuality, he will seek instead to pay Diego Forlan's €36m release clause, since Atletico Madrid are unlikely to sell him to their rivals otherwise.

![]() David Villa: I Only Want To Go To Real Madrid Real Madrid's deal to sign David Villa could be off and that could mean that the player will stay where he is... David Villa only wants to go to Real Madrid and has told his agent to reject all other offers, because he will stay with Valencia if no deal can be done, according to a report. The Spain striker is currently preparing for the Confederations Cup and could yet see any move to the Bernabeu fall through, as the two presidents cannot reach an agreement. Valencia chief Manuel Llorente has lifted his valuation of Villa to €48 million and that has irked Florentino Perez, who was prepared to pay €25m plus Alvaro Negredo, AS state. Madrid could turn their attention to trying to prise Diego Forlan away from Atletico Madrid by meeting his €36m buy-out clause instead of holding further talks with Los Che. Villa has, therefore, informed his representatives that they should not entertain other offers, because he would only leave the Mestalla if he was heading to the Santiago Bernabeu. "I only want to go to Real Madrid," is the clear message that he has sent, AS report. Valencia's new supremo has already stated that David Silva is not for sale and now he is attempting to put Madrid off from buying Villa in a move which is sure to please the club's fans.

![]() Bayern Munich Star Franck Ribery Prefers Real Madrid Option – Report According to a report emanating from France, Ribery would ideally like to join los Blancos next season. After completing the signing of Kaka from Milan and lining up the imminent swoop of Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid and new president Florentino Perez could be about to complete a sensational hat-trick of acquisitions as Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery has made them his first choice for a transfer this summer, according to a report from French radio station RMC. Los Blancos’ interest in the player has been made very public by presidential advisor Zinedine Zidane, an iconic figure in French football and a man who is described as Ribery’s “mentor” by France Football. Heavy interest from other clubs, most notably Real’s fierce rivals Barcelona and Premier League outfit Chelsea, did threaten to complicate matters but it seems that the draw of the Bernabeu will be too much for the 38-time capped French international to resist. Ribery, 26, has been holidaying in Spain and reportedly took the decision to move to los Merengues during his break. Bayern will not be willing to give up their most prized asset easily and, it is suggested, have not entered into any discussions with los Blancos as yet. RMC states that it will take a fee of “several million euros” to entice the Bavarians to sell, indicating that this could also be an opportunity for Real to jettison the Dutch duo of Rafael van der Vaart and Wesley Sneijder, who are seen as surplus to requirements in the Spanish capital but could well be used in a part exchange deal. If los Blancos are able to broker a deal with the Bundesliga outfit, it will complete a magnificent trio of attacking coups. Barcelona and Chelsea won’t have lost hope quite yet, though, as there are still several hurdles to overcome before this move becomes a reality. A little more worryingly for la Blaugrana and the Blues, this report does echo a similar claim made by L'Equipe last Thursday.

![]() Report: David Villa Will Only Move To Premier League For Liverpool The Spain striker is said to only be interested in a switch to England if he links up with fellow countrymen Fernando Torres and Rafa Benitez... Valencia's David Villa has ruled out a move to the Premier League during the close-season unless it is to play for Liverpool, according to a report in the British tabloid The Sun. Apparently, the 27-year-old has informed close friends that he would only consider swapping Spain for England if he were to link up with fellow countrymen Rafa Benitez and Fernando Torres. The news, if true, has seemingly ruled out the possibility of seeing the Spain international, who has scored 29 goals in 45 caps for La Furia Roja, plying his trade in the Premier League. While Chelsea and Manchester United are said to be interested in acquring his services, it appears he would not be interested in a switch to either club. Liverpool, meanwhile, are not thought to be able to compete financially with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid for the 5ft 9in striker

![]() It's Only A Matter Of Time Before Real Madrid Sign David Villa - Florentino Perez The president has spoke about the striker and how it is just a matter of time before Real Madrid sign him.... Florentino Perez has revealed that it is just a matter of time before Real Madrid sign David Villa and that he believes the striker would fit in well at the Bernabeu. The Spanish forward has been widely reported to be interested in a move to Madrid and after declaring yesterday that he has made a decision regarding his future, the capital seems the likely destination. Real Madrid president Perez confirmed the rumours this afternoon by explaining the situation that the two parties are involved in. "He is an excellent player that we must fit into our project. Manuel Llorente [Valencia president] has to do what he has to do, as do I. The signing is just a matter of time," Marca quote him as saying. "Everything is being done in a friendly and cooperative way, and we have good relations with Valencia...It is not a movie with a good and a bad side. It is a case of rival and historic clubs who are going to fight for the league title." Despite his optimism though, Perez did admit that "the whole summer is still to come and that is to explain the signing very well to both sets of fans". The president also spoke more about relations between the two clubs, saying that "I do not know if historically there was a problem. With me there wasn't and of course now, there won't be".

![]() Cristiano Ronaldo: I Will Be With Real Madrid On June 30 Those waiting to see the world's most expensive player in his new colours will be able to so at the end of the month... Cristiano Ronaldo will be presented by Real Madrid at the end of June and will become the world's most expensive footballer when he finishes his well-publicised holiday, he has revealed. The Portuguese star is currently in his homeland after a trip to Los Angeles that made the front and back pages of newspapers and magazines around the world. While Ronaldo recuperates from a long hard season and a busy Stateside trip, the media continue to report and contemplate the world record fee that Madrid are paying for him. That does not seem to have affected the 24-year-old, who is clearly enjoying his summer break before he travels to the Spanish capital.. "I imagine that I will presented on June 30," Marca quote him as saying. According to the report in the Spanish daily, the player will fly to Madrid and sign his contract before then, but nothing official will be announced.

![]() OFFICIAL: Cristiano Ronaldo Signs Six-Year Deal At Real Madrid The deal is done and dusted according to both Manchester United and los Merengues.. Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Real Madrid from Manchester United has this evening been confirmed by clubs' official websites, with the player signing a six-year contract at the Bernabeu. The deal is set to be completed on July 1, with United having accepted a bid of £80 million (93 million Euros) on June 10. A statement on los Blancos' official website reads: "Real Madrid CF and Manchester United have confirmed a definitive agreement for the transfer of the player Cristiano Ronaldo, to take place on July 1. "The player will be tied to Real Madrid for the next six seasons and will be presented on the 6th of July at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium." According to Sky Sports, the whole of the fee will be paid, unusually in the modern era, in one instalment on July 1, which was apparently a pre-condition to the deal set by United. The Mancunians have made no official statement on the deal, preferring to remain tight-lipped about the world record breaking transfer, on a day when it was confirmed that Carlos Tevez would also definitely be leaving, with Manchester City now all but confirmed in English sources as his likely destination over Chelsea. Real fans can now look forward to seeing Ronaldo link up with Brazilian superstar Kaka in a truly mouth-watering forward line, with further additions to the squad not ruled out.

![]() OFFICIAL: Real Madrid Sign Raul Albiol From Valencia The young stopper is set to pen a five-year deal at the Bernabeu... Real Madrid have officially confirmed the signing of defender Raul Albiol from Valencia on a five-year contract. The centre-back, who has been on duty with Spain in the Confederations Cup, will be officially presented next week after undergoing a medical and formally signing his deal. Los Merengues made the news official with a statement on their club website and Valencia quickly followed suit with a similar announcement that a deal had been agreed. "Real Madrid and Valencia CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Raul Albiol, an accord that will come into effect next week after the usual medical and the signing of a contract by the player," Madrid's notice read. "The international defender, aged 23, will sign for the club for the next five seasons and will be presented next week." Valencia's statement was similar in tone, but los Che did wish the player good luck in his new surroundings at the Santiago Bernabeu. "The club want to highlight the exemplary behaviour that Albiol has had throughout his time at Valencia and the club would like to wish the best of luck in the new chapter in his career." Born in the Valencia region, Albiol rose through the ranks at Mestalla and broke into the first team after recovering from a car accident in 2004. A loan spell at Getafe went well and he stepped up to become a regular in the Che outfit, while representing Spain at Under-19, Under-20, Under-21 and now full international level.
