Design, User-friendly or Service?

I had this discussion in a forum today, about what the most important thing to work with when you make a new website is.

First one said the Design is the most important.
Sec. One said User-friendly.
And I said Service.

What's your opinion? .. Of cause everyone would say a combination of all three.. But if you have to choose which one of these three parts you want to spend most time on.

The first one said that the design is most important.. Because as long as the site "looks" good and got style, people would remember it better.

The sec said, that it have to be user-friendly, and that’s the most important thing, be cause as long people finds the site easy to browse in, they'll stay there longer and they'll remember it better.

But I defiantly think that services are the most important thing.. As long as the contents have lots of good services for the visitors, they’ll remember it better, and they’ll use the site more often.

I would be glad to hear what you guys think…

offcourse, the service is the most important.
but i think design is very important too.
what i think is that you obviously make a website to share somethings you want people to know or have.
so service has got to be ur first choice. It has got to be ur goal. but not the only one.
Design is also very imporant.
for instant, if you go to a website, it looks so cool that ...., you will try to learn how to work it and try to find where things are.
but if a website looks crappy, but it's easy to use, then people won't stay around and will just leave.

just like these "downloading softwares" or WEYCT(what ever you call them), if it has some cool shit in it, eventually, you will learn how to work w/it cuz you know ur work is not gun' be without prize.
if it looks cool, you might stay around a lil' longer even if it doesn't have cool shit in it.
if it looks crappy but eaZ to use, you will use it for couple of mins and then un-install it.
thats from personal experience.

anyways thanks for the answer, .well yea Design is important too..
but take a look at www.iran.dk , thats one of my favorite sites also.
The design is not that special , but the functions and services makes the site so good..

I think the service is the most importatnt part of a website! personally i don't care how a website is designed ! of course if it's col i sepend some more time surfing through it .
