Iran kills 17 'anti-revolutionary rebels' at Turkish border area
Tehran - Forces of Iran's paramilitary revolutionary guards (IRGC) killed 17 anti-revolutionary rebels Saturday at a Turkish border area in north-west Iran, state news agency IRNA reported.
The IRGC statement, carried by IRNA, did not clarify who the rebels were, but they were believed to have been members or sympathisers of the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK).
