Indoctrination vs. Education and Freedom of Choice

Quran says that "The best are those who hear every thing and choose the best of all."
this points out some very significant fundamentals:

1. Freedom of Speech: in order for people to be able to "Hear every thing", people must be able to say what ever they want.

2. Freedom of Choice: In oreder for people to be able to "Choose the best of all" there must be freedom of choice, which means that people can choose what ever they want out of the options they are given.

3.Maturity: in order for one to choose the best, there must be brains. this means that they should be mature in order to be able to make a good choice.

we all know that not every body has the brain to make effective choices. Not many of us are borne "Mature!" So this arises very significant Questions:

1. Based on old principals, "If one fails in a society, all fail."
Now, Whose responsiblity is it to educate the youth?
Is it the responsiblity of the parents, government, or the society as a whole to make sure the youth make effective and mature choices?

2. There is a fine line between education and indoctrination.
Where do we draw this line?

3. Some governments use the excuse that people are not mature enough to make their own choices. Therefore, they either narrow people's choices down to almost nothing, or make the chioce for people!
How does this effect the way a country is being governed?

4. What happens to the "Check on the government's power" as the govt. makes choices for all people and tell them that they know nothing
(as they justify their actions by saying that the govt. knows better)?

please think about these questions and submit your opinion.

Remember: the only way people can check the power on their government and make sure that it does not coruppt is by voicing their opinion.
