Thumbs up Commen Ancestory (Evolution)

Hi,

I just joined the forum, after reading some posts on the subject evolution Vs creation.I'm just posting few experts form different scientific journals on common ancestry of human and chimps.

I would be more than happy to answer questions,as far as I know about evolution.

If you enjoyed this article,i'm writing another one on evolution of eye, which is one of the main "arguments" of creationists, and one of the amazingly simple yet astonishingly magnificent products of evolution.

I always support my claims with neutral.scientific and crediable sources.

Never take me for my word.

I hope you enjoy.

Claim 001

There is no evidence supporting common ancestry of humans and the great apes.

The evidence is overwhelming,just from genome sequencing ;

genome.gov | 2005 Release: New Genome Comparison Finds Chimps, Humans Very Similar at DNA Level

Quote:
In fact, the typical human protein has accumulated just one unique change since chimps and humans diverged from a common ancestor about 6 million years ago.

CBSE: Genome Research Primer--human-chimp and human-mouse comparison

Quote:
This image shows the 34% of the mouse genome that maps to identical sequence in the human genome. The matching locations are jumbled, indicating rearrangements of the two genomes since their last common ancestor, approximately 75 million years before present.

Human, chimp DNA differences

Quote:
Nearly 99 percent alike in genetic makeup, chimpanzees and humans might be even more similar were it not for what researchers call "lifestyle" changes in the 6 million years that separate us from a common ancestor.

MIT leading research into chimp genome - MIT News Office

We now have a nearly complete catalog of the genetic changes that occurred during the evolution of the modern human and chimpanzee species from our common ancestor.

The Human Genome Revealed

Quote:
The smaller number of genes does make it easier to imagine apes and humans having a common ancestor 5 or 10 million years ago, since the smaller genome can tolerate a higher mutation rate without error catastrophe. But the number of genes may still be too large."
"The paper describes changes that have shaped human and chimpanzee species since the split from our common ancestor, and hints at what makes us uniquely human.

Quote:
Although humans and chimpanzees share a common ancestor, their evolution split apart millions of years ago

Human-chimp gene study upsets long-held view

Quote:
Put a human and a chimpanzee side by side, and it seems obvious which
lineage has changed the most since the two diverged from a common ancestor millions of years ago.

Harvard Gazette: Did ancestral humans, chimps interbreed?

Quote:
This study was the first to trace segments back and provide a range of dates within which the common ancestors of humans and chimpanzees lived.
